Jilla is the first South Indian movie

45The Vijay starrer Jilla is nearing the 20 days mark and is still holding court in many screens across the world. The film has emerged as a financially successful venture for the producers. The director of the movie, R.T.Neason is also a happy man and in a recent interaction, he shared a few interesting things about Jilla’s Facebook page

“When the team wanted to create an official Facebook page for Jilla, we found that there were already many Jilla pages created by fans. Mohanlal Sir happened to have an acquaintance in Facebook’s office in the US and we were able to delete all these fan-made Jilla pages.

The people in the Facebook office wondered why there were so many pages with the name ‘Jilla’ and then they were told that this was a movie featuring two big South Indian stars.

Then we launched the official FB page and till date, the page has more than 7 lakh likes. We were also the first South Indian movie to get our page verified by FB and when the page crossed 5 lakh likes, we got a letter from FB congratulating us on the milestone.”

”When I said Vijay would become a mass hero, no one believed me”

13679_581518558541797_2042222000_nVikraman’s latest offering Ninaithadhu Yaaro is set for release on Thursday, January 30 along with Inga Enna Solludhu. The director is known for his clean family entertainers and he was one of the most successful directors all through the 90s and the early 2000s.

Ninaithadhu Yaaro stars newcomers, Rejith and Nimisha, and the director is very confident about both these youngsters and expects them to be as popular as Vijay and Jyothika in the near future.

“When I was doing Poove Unakkaga with Vijay, I proclaimed that Vijay would become a big mass hero. No one believed me back then but it happened. Both the newcomers that I have introduced in Ninaithadhu Yaaro have done very well. Rejith will grow into a big star like Vijay while Nimisha may become as popular as Jyothika. She can speak good Tamil too”

Hope Vikraman’s belief and positive vibes about the movie get translated into good business when the movie releases this week.
